"One would expect tuition to be a medium for personalised teaching and value-add tips catered to the individual student which is unlike what the school offers. However, many tuition centres, like my initial one in JC1 still was unable to provide that much needed guidance for me due to its large mass-lecture style of teaching. Thankfully in JC2, I found Terence’s class which is much smaller allowing students more individualised feedback and teaching. My essay writing skills improved exponentially under the guidance of Terence who was willing to mark copious amounts of essays outside lesson time and even stay back after lessons just to run through them with me. I was consistently getting a ‘U’ grade for all my Econs exams until finally under Terence I managed to pass. His commitment to ensuring lessons were not only useful and effective but also fun and enjoyable made the chore of Economics at A Levels a lot more bearable. "Before attending Terence’s lessons, I had never believed that tuition classes could be so useful. After doing badly for Economics in the Preliminary exams, I went for his lessons with my friends. Looking back, I only regret for not joining him earlier. His lessons are well-paced to suit the students’ needs, as he is able to identify the weakness and strength of his students precisely. Terence is a knowledgeable and yet humorous tutor. He really ignited my interest for the subject and I always feel extremely motivated after his lessons. However within a month of attending his lessons (which I started in early August), my grades jumped from an E in my JC2 common test to a B in prelims. During this short period of time, Terence taught us crucial exam techniques in order to help us excel in our exams, and the succinct summary notes given were really helpful in my revision.
